Inna (grandma), Victoria (mom), Emil (10), Emma (9), baby boy (2 weeks old)

“Inna’s husband (Victoria’s dad) is a soldier who fought in the war and injured his hand in March. He is currently in recovery and they don’t know whether he will be expected to serve once he heals.

They are living off their savings right now and don’t have income. I don’t have a photo of this family, but I can get one. I personally know them because I brought them my son’s 0-6 month clothes and some diapers and other baby things when I heard they had a 2-day-old baby.

They live in the Carmel Valley area and I really empathize with their situation because I can’t imagine the stress of a new baby when you’ve just had to flee your home because of war.

They are all living in a one-bedroom apartment which is very small. Victoria’s husband is still in Ukraine but they are hoping to bring him here now that they will have proof that they have three children.

In Ukraine, men can’t leave unless they have a medical exemption or three or more children, so now that the baby is born, they are trying to get him here.”
