Today, our Executive Director, Krystsina Shchelkunova, proudly represented the Slavic Refugee and Immigrant Services Organization (SRISO) at the Ethical Forum, held in partnership with Shoulder to Shoulder.
Krystsina delivered a moving presentation on the Ukrainian refugee experience — shedding light on the strength, struggles, and unwavering hope of families rebuilding their lives right here in San Diego. She spoke powerfully about the critical role of community, empathy, and collaboration in creating spaces of healing and belonging for those displaced by war.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the event organizers and all participating partners for providing a platform where voices of resilience and humanity are not only heard — but uplifted.
At SRISO, we remain committed to walking shoulder to shoulder with our communities — building bridges of compassion, dignity, and support for every refugee and immigrant seeking a new beginning.
