Last night, our Ukrainian community came together for a very special Bathhouse Night, and it felt like stepping back into our childhoods. Many of us remember visiting our grandparents in the village — the smell of warm steam, the laughter, the cold air outside, and the feeling of deep health and renewal.
Here in San Diego, we recreated that same tradition right on Mission Bay. We warmed up in the bathhouse, shared stories, relaxed, and then took a refreshing jump into the bay — just like we used to dive into the snow or an icy river back home.
It was more than an event — it was healing, connection, and a beautiful reminder of our roots.
Moments like these help us feel grounded, supported, and united as one community, even far from home.
